Andy K. Wagner
AIA, LEED AP
SENIOR ASSOCIATE | DIRECTOR OF SUSTAINABILITY
Andy brings over 20 years of diverse design, management, and sustainability experience to each project team he joins. He has contributed to award-winning projects throughout the northeastern U.S. and abroad, ranging from hospitals to hotels and from dormitories to skyscrapers. As a detail-oriented architect, Andy balances his passion for highly technical, data-driven decision-making and consensus-building against a belief that excellent projects can only result from empathic listening and must evoke emotion and wonder at the same time as fulfilling functional requirements.
As NK’s Director of Sustainability, Andy leverages his many years of experience as a LEED AP and green design advocate to lead the optimization and continuous improvement of sustainability outcomes across NK’s portfolio, firm-wide, and to foster innovation in furtherance of this cause. On individual projects, he aims to help clients create sustainable facilities that enrich not only their organizations but their communities as a whole.
Outside of NK, Andy serves as the Communications & PR Chair on the board of the AMFP of Greater Philadelphia (Association of Medical Facility Professionals) and also volunteers with Green Building United on their Policy and Advocacy Committee. In his free time, he enjoys movies and travel with his wife, Bethany, and attending school plays starring their 13-year-old daughter, Lola. When not caring for their many pets, you can often find the three of them playing their extensive collection of board games or puzzling their way out of local escape rooms.
