Healthy City Design 2018 International Congress & Exhibition

Ralph Rosenberg, NK’s Associate Director of Design, will be speaking at the Healthy City Design 2018 International Congress and Exhibition at the Royal College of Physicians in London on October 15, 2018.

Ralph Rosenberg’s and Erin Sharp-Newton’s abstract: “Healthy City, Healthy Housing: Seniors Living Independently Together,” focuses on how a new model of housing can improve the wellness, well being and quality of life for persons of age. Critical problems of isolation and depression found in traditional nursing homes are eliminated by designing new active communities that integrate prototypes of small houses with personal care, which in turn promote a longer, healthier and happier lifestyle.

The Healthy City Design International Congress and Exhibition is a global forum for the exchange of knowledge and the research, policy and practice of designing healthy and sustainable cities and communities. The 2018 theme is entitled: Creating healthy cities for all: Designing for equity and resilience.
