Mark von Bradsky, PE to Retire from NK Architects/Structure Studio
Please join us in extending best wishes to Mark von Bradsky, PE, who is retiring from NK Architects / Structure Studio. Mark joined NK as a Principal of the firm in 1999, in addition to managing Structure Studio, a division of NK Architects. A licensed engineer in nine states, Mark earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University. He received several Merit Awards from the New Jersey chapter of the American Concrete Institute for his engineering design of the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Holmdel, NJ and Kean University Farm Buildings. He was the 1998 recipient of an Award of Honor sponsored by the Consulting Engineers Council of New Jersey for Hitachi Semiconductor (America) Inc.’s Microchip Manufacturing Facility, Irving, TX.
Mark’s professional associations included membership in the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Institute of Steel Construction, past president of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Concrete Institute, and a professional affiliate of the American Institute of Architects, New Jersey Society of Architects, Central Chapter. Mark endeavors to remain active in the engineering community by mentoring/teaching young structural engineers and participating in several local non-profits. He will also be enjoying time with his wife, Lisa, as they navigate retirement by visiting children, travelling, and remaining active in their community.
NK Architects is grateful for the leadership, engineering expertise, and the comradery that Mark has brought to our firm for the past 25 years. Mark’s responsibilities managing Structure Studio will be assumed by Jian Chen, Ph.D., PE, Associate Principal of NK Architects. We wish Mark and his family all the best as he embarks upon this new and exciting chapter.
