senior associate
After completing his BFA at the University of Arizona, Rob found employment at an architectural firm that specialized in educational facilities. In the process of completing projects like the Mirror Polishing Laboratory (26′ diameter for telescopes), Tucson High Magnet School and Coronado Elementary School, he realized that he had found his calling and career focus.
In 1994 Rob was hired by NK Architects and moved back to New Jersey, his state of origin and location of his extended family. As a 20-year veteran at NK, he has proven his value as an educational sector design and planning resource. He finds working in the educational sector rewarding, mainly for the enjoyment of working with large groups of people in a collaborative process.
Interests in sustainable building design and carbon neutral living have led Rob to become a LEED Accredited Professional as well as the owner of a fuel-efficient hybrid vehicle. Outside of the office, Rob struggles with learning finger-style acoustic guitar and unraveling the mysteries of the teenage psyche. He lives with his wife and two children in Mendham, New Jersey where he is often found on the local hiking trails enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
