As a Senior Project Engineer, Jian has more than ten years of practical experience in structural design and construction. From a one-story warehouse to a 40+ story skyscraper or from a residential timber house to a high-rise steel corporate office, Jian has designed more than 100 buildings throughout the tri-state area. His expertise includes advanced design software, complicated building detailing, field problem solving and team management/leadership. With a strong educational background from China, Jian received his Ph.D in structural engineering from NJIT in 2005. He is a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Connecticut and Kentucky and is an active member of ACI and AISC. Besides work, he enjoys traveling, music and good food. As a true family man, he spends most of his leisure time with his wife and two young boys.
