AIA New Jersey awarded NK Architects, Ben P. Lee, AIA, and the firm’s overall work during its annual Design Awards Program on Thursday, November 1, 2018.
Firm of the Year Award
AIA New Jersey chooses an architectural/engineering or architect led design/build firm located in New Jersey and recognized as having made major accomplishments to the field of architecture.
NK was previously awarded “Firm of the Year” in 2007 and has yet again been recognized for its “efforts, comradery, excellent work, and service ‘beyond the boards/screens’ to our local community,” according to NK’s President and CEO, Stephen P. Aluotto, AIA.
Design Honor Award
The Laboratory for Embodied Computation for the School of Architecture at Princeton University received a “Design Honor” award in the category of “Built - Non-Residential Interior Design or Featured Element” from AIA New Jersey. The project was designed by The Living research studio in association with NK Architects, who served as the Architect of Record. Congratulations to Daniel Topping, AIA, Principal, and the entire team.
Distinguished Service Award
AIA New Jersey awards a registered architect who is an AIA New Jersey member in good standing, based on his/her involvement in the profession and the AIA’s programs and activities.
Ben P. Lee, AIA Principal, received the “DISTINGUISHED SERVICE” award. Aluotto mentions, “Ben Lee is deservedly honored with this year’s Distinguished Service award, recognizing his advocacy and dedication for our profession and his service to society.”
We are honored to be recognized by our peers and are grateful to our staff for their hard work and dedication.
